ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD.

The Jenkins family begins with (my great grandfather?) Richard Jenkins born July 1855 (according to the 1900 soundex records) which made him 44 years of age.Richard's occupation is listed as a carpenter. His wife Christina Jenkins was born December 1851, which made her 42 years of age. In 1900 they had been married 23 years, which put them married in (circa 1877) the year Azalee was born.

TO them that love the Lord

And to them who are the called

According to His purpose

Thus the purpose they were caled to was, to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, in adherance to this command, Richard and Christina Jenkins begat children (in the 1900 census) it is listed that there were four(4) children living. I must also note that there were only, three childrens names listed in the 1900 census because (my grandmother) Azalee Jenkins was 22 years of age in 1900 and had just been married to John A. Godfrey, and she appeared in the 1900 census as the wife of John A. Godfrey, which left her siblings listed under Jenkins, namely; Norman Jenkins (son) born February 1887, his age 12 years in the 1900 census.Next child conceived was Francis Jenkins their daughter, born January 1891, her age was 8 years in the 1900 census. The next child conceived was Isabella Jenkins their daughter, born August 1895, her age was 4 years in the 1900 census.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the council of the ungodly

Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful

But his delight is in the law of the Lord

And in his law doth he meditate day and night

And he shall be like a tree planted

By the rivers of water

That bringeth forth fruit in its season
