mendoza manufacturing

Errol Mendoza was a techwizard from the Pecos empire.he is rumored to have fought his way all the way down to Columbia.he is responsible for a great deal of innovations in vampire combat,and manufacturing both conventional weapons as well as technowizard items.
he currently owns two large factories in Columbia that are largely staffed by slave vampires (see new vampire types).the factories are extremely well fortified internally,and externally.they are capable of flooding themselves at a moments notice.
the factories manufacture both weapons,and a wide array of consumer goods,because of his large slave staff his company is rapidly becoming the acme brand of Columbia.
the typical Mendoza weapon is noted for having multiple barrels,and using compressed gasses even though this is not always the case..Errol and his staff believe that the dependence of the Colombian army on rocket weapons is seriously limiting the ability of their army.
rocket weapons ammunition is to heavy,and large for a fight against regenerating creatures that needs to use so much ammunition.his weapons have gained common usage in the private sector,but only limited usage among ground troops due to their lesser stopping power,and the politically other entrenched weapon manufacturers maneuvering.however the weapons are gaining ground among combat oriented tech wizards,and in the troop support compacity.
the more popular items are the Mendoza machine gun,gatling cannon,aerial array,mendoza pistol,and techwizard shotgun deluxe.
the company is becoming more popular politically as it brings more of an improvement to the standard of living,and gets smarter at the game.
compressed gasses are becoming more viable in anti-vampire combat due to the comparative lightness of wood ammunition. the compressed gas is stored in cartridges behind the ammunition that eject after being used up,to be refilled.most mendoza combat combat weapons hold a second cartridge of gas canisters as well as a cartridge of ammunition.In heavier weapons the ammunition has thin metal wires pressed into the wood so the rounds can be accelerated via rail technology as well.
the most recent innovation out of mendoza labs is the force sphere generator gun.
Other manufacturers have tried to create slave vampires as well,but mendoza is the only one to do so successfully on a continuing basis.the reasons for his success are a source of great speculation for his many jealous rivals...


the vampire intelligences recognize the need to diversify their populations once the reach a reasonable size.

slave vampire
the slave vampire is not a creation of the vampire intelligence but rather by vampire hunters growing use of torture.It takes a good deal of time to reduce a vampire to a zombie like status ,while weakening their bodies and destroying their minds,but it is worth it for a decade of free manual labor that can work all day and night.firstly the vampires are weakened by a special diet of vampire gruel,and their teeth are replaced with dental stakes(see anti vampire items).then their heads are saved with silver razors and tattooed with a special ink then they are exposed to months of spells and conditioning,this technique will then create a zombie that is used for manual labor and typically in the creation of mundane or anti vampire items.even after the extreme measure that are taken an occasional rebellion does happen,so slave vampire are always held in well fortified (inside and out) locations away from large population centers.the slave vampire has no power or abilities other then a typical zombie.if a slave vampire is freed it will take years to restore him to his old state,and then he will be extremely angry,and partially insane.

underground vampire
the underground vampire was created to protect and help create the large underground lairs in the abandoned coal mines of northern Mexico.they are wild vampire in terms of intelligence,but they cannot transform.they have larger heads bat like ears, and large clawed hands that are used to maul people,as well as clear rock.very lethal in hand to hand.they are typically kept underground as workers and task masters,they are looked down upon by other sorts of vampires except when it comes to hand to hand combat where they shred most targets.

half-pire
the half-pire is a unique being to the mountains of Columbia.the small band of them was created when a group of Colombian soldiers where bringing vampire prisoners home when they were separated from the rest of their group by a rock slide,and trapped in a cave with their prisoners.after several days they ran out of rations,and were forced to used their only renewable food source-vampire flesh.they reasoned if they washed it down with holy water they would be unharmed.they were unharmed but not unaltered.they soon moved the boulders themselves.they are strong,but fear daylight.they are cannibals,but cannot create more of themselves.they hate both man and vampire.they fanatically guard there mountain pass from all encroachment

half transformed vampires
usually as punishment greater vampires would force lesser vampires into a weakened half transformed state.but now due to increasing wide spread use of tech-wizard sonic disruptors,the half bat transformation is being used periodically.it appears like sickly giant hairless man bat with large wing membranes that stretch from wrist to foot.they do not have the sonic senses of bats only superior night vision.they often glide down on foes from above as part of a larger attack.

Backscratchers

Backscratchers are handmaidens to the vampire intelligence.they help gather food and information,as well acting as enforcers when needed.
They appear as 2.5 foot long black beetles on top,and on the bottom they have what looks like melted,evil mocking human faces with large and strong tongues.they can climb all over virtually any surface,and leap up to 15 feet.their backs can open up like a lady bug to reveal a small mouth that secretes a substance that hardens to a slick puss-colored coating it is used to smooth out surfaces for the comfort of the intelligence,and encase victims.the bite of the beetle like mandibles cause extreme paralysis.
Backscratchers are extremely rare,and unknown even to most vampires,and all but the most dedicated vampire hunters.a intellegence typically only has between 10-24 of them.the creation of a new Backscratcher is extremely involved,and requires the sacrifice of a master vampire
They control other vampires as a master vampire,and have all the same vulnerabilities except that that they only take half the hit point damage from water,and double damage from wood.the problem being that their back shells provide them with 40 mdc armor on the back,while the face is extremely vulnerable with no armor. they cannot create other vampires.
Backscratchers can dig into the soft stomach tissue of other vampires and provide them with several bonuses,or imbed itself into the stomach of a humanoid that might not otherwise be capable of being transformed into a vampire.after the Backscratcher has embedded itself it may only be removed with holy items.
It is common for Backscratchers to have spell casting ability.all know shadow meld and mystic alarm.




Deigo quivera-sculptor


When Diego was a child when his parents were killed by vampires.he lived with relatives,and studied techno wizardry.by his early twenties he had already helped create several of the important anti-vampire constructions of the decade.after 4 decades of outstanding service Deigo retired to his moated house outside of town.he wasn�t the type to retire easily.shortly after his retirement he discovered some of the secrets master vampires use to transform their lesser kin.his extreme isolation,and ever darkening edge to his experiments has driven him mad.now he lives for his �art�.turning vampires into living sculpture by using special body harnesses,silver scalpels,holy water basters,and other enchanted devices.
he is quite clever with his method that vaguely emulates plant graphing.he has wheel sculptures,dome sculptures,tree-like sculptures.all sculptures have silver rods sticking though them.where faces can be made out they look to be melting,or distorted in a Picasso like fashion.Deigo like nothing better then walking around his garden feeding his creations vampire gruel with a silver ladle into what orifices can pass for a mouth.
because of his tremendous service records the Colombian government still sends him some supplies,and he still provides the odd piece of information or a invention to the terrified soldiers whom he shows his work to.the government ignores the reports that come back to them to keep up the flow of information as well as not damaging moral by disgracing a minor hero.
Diego appear almost insanely gracious,and friendly old man.he at very eager for human contact to remind he of what he knows he is losing,but he can�t leave his masterworks unattended.he is most often encountered by pcs on a supply run or looking for information.he is far too mad to teach anyone his complex secrets.he looks like an old Hispanic Jerry Lewis with a bald top of his head surrounded by a long shocks of white hair.
