| Kenny Harris Kenny and I were best buddies in high school. We used to haunt the smoking areas, on the first floor of Saint John High. This was before it was considered bad and you could even enjoy a smoke at school. High school sucked. I didn't fit in well with the larger crowd, but that was ok. Kenny, Clayton, Louis and I made our own little crowd and we always found something fun to do to make our days interesting. After graduating, our lives changed, but we kept in touch. College, marriages, kids, jobs forced us to grow up. It was nice having a friend to share it with. 9am on weekdays was our coffee break. I would drop by to his work with the cable van. Kenny's store (McLean Micro) didn't open until 10 and it was a great time to shoot-the-shit. This went on for years as I continued to work for Fundy and Kenny's business grew. Eventually my job changed and I didn't get as many chances to see him. On a few occasions I would find him on his break and we would catch up. 2000 came and my family and I left Saint John. I didn't get to see him, the last few times I was back east. I'm really hoping I can catch up with him this summer. It's been too long. Keep the coffee on, Kenny. Link to McLean Micro site |
