The Cavern in the Woods

They walked into the cavern, which seemed black as pitch.
Hello? Marcel called out.  Anyone there?
HONK! honked a flonker.  The cave brightened up, only just enough to reveal the figure of a terrifying beast right in front of them.
Who goes there? asked the figure loudly.
I am Marcel and these are flonkers, Marcel replied calmly.  We would like to pass to get the castle.
You will have to get by me to do th.. hack, choke, wheeze!  Im losing my voice.... choke!  The figure said weakly.
Are you a dragon? asked Marcel, hesitating slightly.
Yes, wheezed Dragon.  But Im not fire-breathing anymore., I guess.
Would you like to come see the King with us? translated Marcel for the flonker who talked first.
Wow, really? asked the dragon weakly. Sure!  You have no idea how lonely it can get in here, sizzling people to crisps and all.  Oh, and quit calling me the dragon, my name is Dragon  With that, they left the cave on the side that Dragon was previously guarding.
And with that the even stranger group, now including a dragon, started off towards the castle.  They kept walking and then they came to a bridge and across the bridge was the castle. The bridge looked unstable and could snap any minute.

The Bridge to the Castle

They could not see below the bridge, because it was impossible to see through the mist that had suddenly materialized out of nothing.  Dragon started to walk across the very unstable looking bridge.
No! screamed Marcel and the flonkers.  It was too late. The bridge snapped very loudly, and Dragon fell to his most certain peril.
Marcel and the flonkers were suddenly grieved as they proceeded to find another way across the ridge to get to the king and his enormous fortress on the other side.
They could not see the fortress through the mist.
They came to another bridge with a strange looking man next to a sign.  The sign on the bridge said, Toll bridge.  Pay one gold coin as you pass.  Marcel checked his pocket for a gold coin.  There was nothing there.
I dont have a gold coin, he said to the hideous man guarding the bridge, could you let it slide this time?
No! the man croaked.  He started poking Marcel in his chest, it was actually very annoying.  He continuously said, HA!  Poor,.  Marcel began to get very annoyed with the man.  He pushed him, and the man tripped and fell down, and then tumbled into the river below.  He started shaking his fist at the Marcel and the flonkers on the ridge.
Whoops! said Marcel shyly.  They walked across the bridge.  You had better be thankful for me getting your land back, you flonkers, Marcel warned.
They kept walking into the woods on the other side of the ridge.  The mist had suddenly lifted.
Soon after they entered the wood, they saw a sign that said, Now leaving Trottingham.  Followed by another sign that said, Welcome to Prancingpork.
Prancingpork?  We are close to the castle now.  There are three sections of the kingdom.  Trottingham, Prancingpork, and Gallopingbacon, thats where the king is!  Marcel exclaimed knowledgeably.  They came to another fork in the road.
This looks familiar, said Marcel awkwardly.
HONK!, honked a flonker, which meant left.
Are you most certainly sure?, Marcel asked, this scene looking familiar to the previous disaster with the pie lady.
HONK!, honked the flonker loudly, which meant yes.
Right it is, Marcel commented as they proceeded to walk to the right.  After not much time at all they came to a yet another house.
