"Happy New Year!"
Vanelli pulled the trigger on the gun. Bang! Tony fell to ground in pain, grabbing his stomach.
"Who's next?" Vanelli asked.
"You," Nuniez said quietly. Vanelli turned around just in time to notice that Nuniez also had a hand gun, and that the hand gun was pointed at him!
"Nuniez? Why?"
"We don't need you any more! We've used you enough and now we have what we need. Good bye." Bang! Nuniez shot Vanelli right in the head. He fell to the ground, dead. The gun Vanelli was holding fell through the air and plopped right into Godfrey's hands.
"Boy's advance on them," Nuniez ordered. The two other Armed Ambush members pulled out chains and approached Godfrey and Mario.
Bang! Godfrey shot one of them in the face. He fell to the ground, dead. He aimed at the other also approaching. Click! The gun was out of ammo! Then, Tony got up from the ground quickly and grabbed the chain of the dead gangster. He jumped the other gangster and choaked him until he fell to the ground, struggling to breath.
"Tony! I thought Vanelli killed you!" Godfrey said breathing a sigh of relief.
"No, when you guys came to my apartment today, I sensed bad news so I wore a bullet-proof vest!"
"Remember me?" Nuniez asked. Tony, Mario, and Godfrey turned around to Nuniez. "Thank you," he continued, "you've proven yourselves worthy. Here's the money, no ink bombs, nothing. Just the money."
"Why didn't you give it to us in the first place?" Mario asked, not being able to understand Nuniez' logic of reason.
"You know how I like to play with peoples lives."
"So this was just some sick joke," Godfrey hissed.
"Yep. But now I must go. Tah!" The black BMW had appeared on the opposite side of the alley and Nuniez got in. Nuniez rolled down the window of the car, and waved.
Godfrey picked up a knife that one of the gangsters had dropped. He ran up to the car before it could drive off, and slashed the back right tire. The car then sped off. There was an enormous Bang! The tire had blown out and the car ran out of control, right into a building. The car hit the wall and created a massive explosion.
"Happy New Year guys!" Godfrey said looking at the explosion of fire and debris flying through the air.
"Happy New Year," Mario said.
"Happy New Year," Tony shouted happily.
"Let's get down to Navy Pier for New Year's fun!" Godfrey continued, "I could use some fun right now." With that they all walked down to the pier to celebrate New Year's 2003.
It was a truly happy occasion. Vanelli as well as the Armed Ambush members were dead. Manello and his chauffeur were instantly killed in the car crash. It was the first time in a while that the Stabbing Oysters were truly safe. They partied long in the night and for days after. They invested the money that Nuniez gave them into Nuniez's stocks. After the price of oil shot up, they were rich. They had enough money to rebuild their clubhouse in much better condition. They did that. They would soon be as tough a mafia as the were before.
