Gerald's brothers and sisters in Christ

I honestly can't remember much of year 4. Academically, this was the year of the medium (Paeds, Ortho, Psychomed, Obs & Gynae) and short (Eye, ENT, Anaesthesia, Patho, A&E and Radiology) postings, which by the time you started to settle in, was over. Some were quite slack too, and some too close to the Patho exam, so... *wink*
It was only towards the end of the academic year I confessed in the Lord, even though I'd been exposed to Christianity for quite a while. I'm mentioning it here because it's mostly through the concerted and persistent efforts of my medical classmates. If you want to know more, there's a pull-down link at the end of the page.
My elective posting was to Borders General Hospital (under the University of Edinburgh, but nowhere near Edinburgh), another academic non-event. The scenery and countryside was spectacular though, and the weather beautiful.
Most of the pictures in this page actually took place in Year 5, but had their roots in the later part of Year 4. Okay okay, so I didn't have any Year 4 photos. *bleah*

I've never introduced you to my sister CG: Group P.
Actually this is a bad photo to use, since 2 people are missing and extras are present. Anyway...
Jiamei's Birthday
Back (L to R): Daniel Chong, Chua Tat Wee, David Sim, Me, Adrian Tan Chong Beng[Q], Elaine Tan[Q]
Seated (L to R): Ong Pei Yuin[O], Lai Shieh Mei (Jiamei, the birthday girl), and Jiahui (Ng KarHui)[Q].
Absent: Peter Wong (photographer), and Chan Lai Gwen.
Wasn't that professional? *strut* (For you stupid medics, left is the normal left. Elaine is right. Geddit?)
How old is she? *peer* Count the candles, and subtract 3. Young in spirit, old in wisdom. So on and so forth.
Anyway, not all of them are Christians, but those that are played a large part in my coming to know the Lord.

Bethany Friends
No, these aren't medics who skivved for 4 years - these are my friends from Bethany Independent Presbyterian: Dorcus and Huimin(hands clasped), with Jiamei in the middle.
There's lots more friendly people in Bethany, just that I don't have photos of them.

Visit to the Doulos
Beautiful picture isn't it? Worth more than a thousand words I'm sure. Too bad I didn't take it, and even worse that I'm going to add a few more words of my own. :P
This was a visit to a mission ship the Doulos (nowhere in the picture), where they gave us a big feast, introduced us to the work they did and life on board, and a few of us even got a tour around the engine room!
Sure, I missed the sunset and the cable cars, but the Doulos doesn't sail into town everyday. I'll catch the view any other day. Perhaps even everyday - from the deck of the Doulos...
