Site FAQs
“Why the color scheme / fonts / lack of frames / lack of
graphics / etc.?”
This website is a volunteer project. It’s always being updated (which nicely reflects our Lutheran
heritage of, “always reforming.”) Being
a volunteer project, however, it’s designed primarily for maximum readability,
uniformity of page design, ease of updating, and communicating new information rapidly. It's also optimized for quick download time
per page on a 28.8 modem. We may add “extras” as time, server space,
etc. becomes available.
“Who pays for all this?”
The time spent in making the site happen is donated. There is a small budget for paying
server costs, domain name, software, etc., that was approved by the Cluster.
“Why aren't there e-mail links on each page?”
In the initial site design, the designer
decided to place as few email links as possible on the site, so that a transfer
of WebPastor could be easily achieved if necessary. E-mail links to the congregations, etc. will be
added as we go. Email addresses of people, however, are generally considered to be
"unlisted" unless the WebPastor has obtained permission to post them.
