Most Valuable Offensive Player - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners up - Maciej, Patrick
Little Matt proved that size doesn't mean everything in the inaugral FFL season. Not only did he average 5 touchdowns per game but his kickoff returns were superb, as he led the league in kickoff return touchdowns. His agility and wormingness are unparalleled. Honorable mention goes to Maciej for his master throws and Patrick for being in the top 3 in almost every offensive category. |
Top Quarterback - Winner - Maciej Chabelski; Runners up - Robbie, Matthew Couto
Led the FFL in touchdown passes in 2004. He also had the least number of interceptions and the higest passing percentage in the league. His numerous scrambles after the end of steamboats, and incredibly long throws made this choice a no-brainer. |
Top Receiver - Winners - Patrick Chabelski, Robbie Soegtrop; Runner up - Matthew Soegtrop
Given to the player with the most receptions in the entire season, Patrick and Robbie led the league in receptions. Both players had numerous catches and turned out to be go-to players in clutch situations. |

Top Kickoff Returner - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners up - Matthew Couto, Maciej
With his incredibe agility and endurance, Matthew Soegtrop managed to run in between, around and away from everybody on every kickoff return. At times, he would run against blocks just to make it more interesting. He led the FFL in kickoff return touchdowns, and averaged at least a return of 3/4 of the field on each return. |
Top Runningback - Winner - Matthew Couto; Runners up - Matthew Soegtrop, Robbie
Although handoffs were a rare entity in the FFL this season, Matthew Couto took full advantage of the short-lived rarely-used newly-implemented rule of handoffings. He managed to plow his way through human traffic, and even managed a few surprises from behind his own line of scrimage. |
Most Receiving Touchdowns - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners up - Patrick, Danielle
Matthew Soegtrop as was aforementioned, made receiving touchdowns his forte this year. Once he got hold of the ball, he utilized his elusiveness to avoid hand tackles and essentially outrun his opponents. Underestimate him at your own peril. Honorable mention goes to Patrick, who was second in total number of touchdowns, whilst Danielle was third and had a great rivalry with the winner. |
Most Passing Touchdowns - Winner - Maciej Chabelski; Runners up - Robbie, Matthew Couto
Thanks to a solid receiving corps, Maciej was able to capture this award with ease. His accurate and deep passes gave his team much needed versatility and his plays always had the opposition guessing. Honorable mention goes to Robbie who had a great partnership with Patrick and Matthew Couto, who showed in a limited time that he could very well challenge for this award again next year. |
Most Kickoff Return Touchdowns - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners up - Maciej, Patrick
A lethal combination of speed, agility, and creativity allowed Matthew Soegtrop to win this award with ease. Not only did he make something out of nothing, he never settled for "good" field position; his mind was always on the touchdown prize. |
