Most Valuable Defensive Player - Winner - Alex D.; Runners up - James, Tommy
We all knew it would take a lot to beat Tommy in defensive coverage, but Alex D. proved to be one step ahead this time. Not only was he solid on man to man coverage, he was also the leagues best interception threat, finishing with 29 interceptions. Has deceptive speed, and lures his opponents into thinking they're open, pouncing on the loose ball with a hearty slap when it comes near him. Kudos to Tommy for being his solid self and James for showing great D hustle. |

Top Cornerback- Winner - James; Runners up - Alex D., Tommy
James showed that he was the FFL's best defender on man to man coverage. Is bulky enough to fight off even the biggest opponents, but does so legally. Consistenly stops throws from reaching their target, and had 4 interceptions on the year. Kudos to Alex and Tommy for consistent play. |

Top Kicker - Winner - David; Runners up - Maciej, Jordie
Anyone who has seen David introduce his foot to a football is in total awe at the power the kicks possess. Always puts the ball far in the opponents zone, making kickoff TDs are a near impossible task. Kudos to Maciej and Jordie, both of whom had decent kicks all year. |

Best Steamboats - Winner - Owen; Runners up - Robbie, Lenny
Owen has changed his mentality over the course of the year, from a runner to a stander. And this role is best suited for a steamboats position, and henceforth he is the winner. Is not reluctant to get right in your face either. Kudos to Robbie and Lenny, both of whom like to count. |

Most Defensive Stops (During Game) - Winner - James; Runners up - Patrick, Tommy
Getting those two hands on someone and stopping a play is pretty damn important. James did this more often than any other player, thanks in particular to his no-way-I'm-stopping attitude during games. Is good at reading plays and being at the right place at the right time. Patrick and Tommy get kudos for being runners up in them 2 handed touches. |

Most Defensive Stops (During Kickoff Return) - Winner - Matthew Soegtrop; Runners up - James, Patrick Mini Matt has a way of getting in between those bigger than him and getting at the person with the ball. Many a few have been surprised by the guy's agility and wormy ways, much to their peril. Kudos to James to Patrick for being solid on the defensive side of the kickoff. |

Best Blocker - Winner - Tommy; Runners up - James, Danielle
What, no Robbo brick? Tommy, who may never get the ball as much as others, is incredibly effective without the ball. Once the ball is in the hands of a teammate, he almost immediately searches out the key person to block. 9/10 times he gets the right man, helping his teams cause immensely. Kudos to James and Danielle, both of whom read the game equally well. |
Defensive Rookie of the Year- Winner - Conal; Runners Up - Jordie, Elliot
This award is given to the individual who was not part of the FFL in 2004, and has made the biggest impact on the defensive end. Conal takes the award, simply because he managed 9 interceptions and several key blocks in his first FFL season. Kudos to Jordie and Elliot for outstanding defensive rookie season. |
Most Improved Defensive Player - Winner - James; Runners up - Danielle, Patrick
James went from being a defensive no show to being the defensive show. It's as simple as that. He has transformed his game and has become an all around star. Isn't afraid to cover the best receivers in the league, and does so effectively. Kudos to Danielle and Patrick for improving their defense significantly. |
