5th Annual  FFL Awards 2007-2008
Miscellaneous Awards
Fastest Player - Winner - Neil; Runners up - Corenton, Jordan T.
Fastest wheels in the league
Mach 1.8 is as fast as this human CF-18 can fly, and that's without the afterbuners.  The competition between the three is so close, that 3 races would result in 3 different winners.
The 'Jordan D.' Award - Winner - Taylor; Runners up - Dylan, Tommy
Slowest player in the league
Short legs mean short speed distances I'm afraid.  Still, his shiftiness helped him rack up an impressive 17 sacks, but he'd do much more with some footspeed.
FFL Dedication Award - Winner - Robbie; Runners up - Patrick, Jacob.
The most dedicated player to the very game of football and the league itself.
39 games, and he would play another 39 more.  If he were getting married, Robbie would stop the ceremony if someone called him for a game.  During his honeymoon, he'll be thinking about a football.  His first child will be called "stitchface."  He will be burried in an Argos jersey.
Butterfingers Mahoney Award - Most - Winner - Neil; Runners up - Patrick, Tommy
Neil tops out with 72, Pat second with 69, Tommy third with 65.

Butterfingers Mahoney Award - Average (minimum 5 games played)
- Winner - Jacob; Runners up - Neil/James, Tommy.
Jacob finished with 2.9 per game, Neil/James second with 2.2, Tommy with 2.1 finishes 3rd.
Comeback Player of the Year - Winner - Matthew S; Runner up - Dylan, Robbie
Player who came back with a great season, after having a disappointing prior season.
Matthew S., after a disappointing 05-06 campaign, scored 101 touchdowns, added great defensive numbers and played his heart out.  Glad to have him back at top form.  .
Most Painful Moment - Winner - Taylor; Runners up - Jacob, Patrick
The play that a player remembered the most; for all the wrong reasons
Taylor, who made a habit of falling down over the season, fell down and got his balls stepped on.  Normally a trooper, he sat out the rest of the game as a result.  Honorable mentions go to Jacob's, "pain is good" fall over his own sweater and Patrick's getting a knee in the back from both Peter and Ezra, while all three were going for the ball.
The Whiney McWhine Award - Winners - Jordan D.; Runners up - Peter, Maciej
The person with the biggest mouth, and something to say on nearly every play.
Jordan seemed to always be unhappy with the score, a play, or the fact that football was played over hockey.  Runners up Peter and Maciej were angry for other reasons: Peter because he dropped a catch and needed someone to blame, and Maciej for his teammates performances.
Best Fashion Sense - Winner - Maciej; Runners up - Neil, Jordan D.
Player who exudes the best dressing habits throughout the season
Maciej always seems to set trends rather than follow them.  This season, he made winter hats popular in the spring, and ripped jackets the "mot juste."  Runners up Neil and Jordan D set their own trends as well: Neil loved the color orange, Jordan wore stylish shades and hats.
Worst Fashion Sense - Winner - Luke; Runners up - Jacob, Taylor
Player who exudes the worst fucking dressing habits (a la Graham) throughout the season.
Luke wore steel toed boots to a football game, combined with a sports jacket and black dress pants.  Enough said.  Runners up Jacob and Taylor also showed poor fashion sense this season.  Jacob wore the same shirt in every game he played, while Taylor had about 40 holes in his shoes.
Most Surprising Player - Winner - Luke.; Runners up - Corenton, Taylor
The player who pretty much came out of nowhere to play a vital role in the league
Who would've guessed that "Luk-ranian" would have such a positive impact on the season.  Very fast and strong, Luke used his full 6'3 frame to his advantage, racking up key numbers on the line.
Most Consistent Player - Winner - Peter; Runners up - Patrick, Neil
The player who rarely took a night off, consistently playing at a high level
Who else but Peter?  In 30 plus games, he never let up on a play.  In fact, there is no such thing as a lost play in Peter's football vocabulary.  Usually among the games top players, day in, day out.
Most Balls - Winner - Matt P.; Runners up -  Luke, Peter
Player through his actions on and off the field, showed he had the biggest cojones
Matt P. played two games with a broken arm, and still managed to hold his own.  Honorable mentions to Luke, who was also facing off against Peter, and Peter, for his various dives.
Hey, you isn't guy! Award - Winner - Sierra; Runners up - Maddie, Erica
Best girl player in the league
In 7 games, Sierra put up respectable numbers, taking her second consecutive 'Hey, you isn't guy!' award.  Showed he could hold her own against the boys in the leagues, especially Tommy.  Oh snap!
The Triple M Award - Winner - Tommy's uncle; Runners up - Superbowl, Game at Sorauren Park
Most memorable moment of the season
For all those who remember the game and took part in it, Tommy's uncle was just a bit of a goof.  And a wierd one at that.  Claiming to know Tommy (later confirmed), the man could not catch a ball but criticized the hell out of everyone on the field.  Honorable mentions were the first annual Superbowl played in April, and the winter game played at Sorauren Park, arguably the best game of the 2007-08 season.
