October 1999 till the present
time, Senior Software Developer / System Analyst, Infogeek
Pty (Ltd) www.infogeek.co.za, Johannesburg , Republic of South
Africa.
Design and implementation of a financial broker system -
BrokerSolution. This system allows clients to create
portfolios, calculate commissions, financial risk level and
more. It has a contact manager and advanced user rights
control schema. For this project I developed a SQL database
(about 80 tables), and all core modules and basic functions. I
also wrote a special Delphi component library for the
graphical user interface, which allows for the creation of
non-rectangular forms and visual components. It also contains
a specialized image manager, which reduces resource usage in a
system. So even though the application is very image intensive
it remained small in size, thereby lowering system
requirements. I also created the server side solution for a
webshop at www.megamall.co.za (database structure and tools
for fill in / online control). I have also developed a middle
sized Internet application based on MIDAS technology for a
product catalogue and product ordering system, and a smaller
application that indicates keyboard status on notebooks
(developed in VC++ 6.0).

Developer, "RSD Software", Tula, USA-Russia.
The "RSD Software" company was
involved in the development of the SalesExplosion suite of
applications - a solution for insurance agent/agencies of the
USA. This program is a revolution in this area and includes
the following: mail client; the planning of events, tasks,
resources, marketing campaigns; sales and commission
calculation engines. The project contained more than 300 000
lines of code, 100 data tables, 40 specially developed Delphi
components and has a MS Outlook look and feel (all features of
Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0/2000 are supported). I worked in a

Participation: I developed more
Delphi components - visual (i.e. Lookup&Find/Edit control
components similar to MS Office) non-visual components
(vCalendar import/export, find engine); scheduler, contacts,
find, option and other modules. I also created SQL scripts and
developed the original replication engine for two or more
Interbase servers.
