::Xtreme Thoughts::
October 29, 2003
Hello everyone, sorry it's been so long since I've written a column.  I was surfin' the net last night, keeping up on my news and rumors, when I was inspired to write a little something.

I may have been one of the last people to hear this rumor, but it seems as if the buzz around the net right now is that Matt Hardy will be leaving Smackdown and heading over to RAW.  To me, this was very exciting news.  I have been wanting to see Matt and Lita together again for a while and I think that if it is done right it can be a very great thing.

Now, I am a member of several different wrestling based groups and forums, and it seems as if a lot of people don't agree with me concerning my feelings on Matt and Lita.  Many believe that Matt is doing great on Smackdown and that Lita should try and prove her ability on her own, without the assistance of either of the Hardy Boyz.  While there is much truth to this, I believe that there is a way that Lita and Matt can be reunited and have it work.

After building up the Lita/Christian storyline a little more, Matt could show up, saying he's not having any of it.  He stood by Lita's side throughout her injury and it's way too difficult for him to be away from her now, seeing her be approached week after week by Christian.  He proves this to Christian by showing him the picture of Matt and Lita at the hospital together just after her surgery.

A possible Matt/Christian feud could begin here, which I think could be very entertaining.  Lita could still keep her focus on the title while remaining by the side of Matt.  As far as proving herself without the help of a Hardy, she could continue to fight for the title on her own, and not have Matt accompany her to ringside or interfere in any of her matches.  I think Matt could be a candidate for the Intercontinental title, and they could both enjoy the competition for gold without sacrificing their relationship.  As long as Lita does not slip back into the role of valet, things should be alright.

For personal reasons, it must be hard trying to have a serious relationship while being on the road and having such different schedules.  Rodney Mack left Smackdown a while back so that he could join his wife Jazz on Raw, and the two said in interviews that it seriously improved thier relationship as well as their lives in general.  I for one cannot sit back and complain about Matt wanting to join Lita on Raw when I'd probably want the same thing if I was in either of their positions.
