Club History
The Rotary Club of Polk County/Mena was officially chartered on January 1, 2000 as a part of Rotary District No. 6170 of central/southern Arkansas after more than two years of work by the DeQueen Rotary Club whose President at the time,Z.Z. Kamruddin, was instrumental in the organization of the Club. The Club consisted of 27 members and has grown to high of 38 members since that time. Current membership stands at 35. The club has been very active since its charter, sponsoring various programs and activities as follows:

Sponsor local students each year in Rotary Youth Leadership Academy

Host Group Study Exchange Teams
Teams from Turkey, Scotland, South Korea & South Africa

Other Activities
Sponsor a team in the Polk Co. annual Heart Walk
Support the Rotary Foundation and Polio Plus
Contribute funds to the Single Parent Scholarship at
Rich Mountain Community College
Dictionary Project, supply dictionaries to all 3rd grade
students within the County

Fund Raisers
Annual Chili Supper in December
Biannual Yard Sales in the spring and fall
Sell bottled water a various events
Also collect funds from Happy Dollars and Fines with fines to Polio Plus.
