Cindy said that she really didn't have a mentor. She applied for a job at Union Bank and feels she was hired because she knew computer programing. That was twenty years ago. |
|
| Kim introduced Gloria Strother of the Polk Col Extension Service, who spoke to us about the 4-H Foundation. The Foundation funds all Polk County's 4-H activities. There are 260 4-H members in 21 clubs as well as 33 certified adult volunteer leaders within the county. |

| Meetings on days which fall on the fifth Thursday in five Thursday months is Family Day at Polk Co./Mena. This means that the somber atmosphere which prevails at all other meetings is somewhat relaxed and we tend to do goofy things. Today was no exception when Jackie Standridge and Cathy Gorden organized a "Tell Me About It/ Draw It" project We were teamed into pairs where one person was given an object to discribe to their partner and the partner drew the object from that decription. Some interesting results were obtained. |
