Rake Back Deals
Important considerations when shopping for rake back:
When placing your business with a rake back site, please consider some of the following: Do you know who they are? Can you easily reach them? Do they list their name and phone number? Will they troubleshoot on your behalf if you need help? Can you trust them to give you a fair and honest shake at the end of the month? Are they here for the long term or are they likely to just disappear into cyberspace? Many have, leaving customers holding useless accounts without rake back.

What is "rake back" and should You be getting it?
For
Starters
When I agree to advertise an on-line
poker site they agree to pay me a commission for any new customers I bring to
their site. That commission is based on a percentage of the rake you generate
less expenses you generate, i.e. credit card fees, deposit bonuses, etc. Hence,
rake back is really commission share.
The win/win situation for us both
First off, if you download directly
from an on-line poker site you will not receive any rake
back. You become the sites 100% customer and they simply do not offer you anything
back for this. It can only be obtained by going through one of their affiliates,
such as myself, who gets paid a commission for bringing you to their poker room
for the first time.
What I do is pass the lions share of these commissions along to my customers, retaining a small percentage for accounting to you each month, handling transfers, keeping you informed, answering any questions
you may have and troubleshooting any problems you may encounter, albeit, setting
up an account or using my liaisons at the various sites with any problems you
may encounter.
How rake rebate is calculated (the math)
What
is rake: rake is the amount of
money the poker site takes from each pot. Usually sites rake 25cents for each
$5 in the pot to a maximum of $1, $2 or $3. Some sites rake $1 for each $20
in the pot to a maximum of $1, $2, or $3.
Rake back calculation: Rake-back is a player's "average contribution" to the rake for each pot (whether you fold or not). Unless you are "sitting out", a share of the rake is attributed to you. For any particular pot, a player's "rake-share" = rake divided by the number of players dealt into the hand.
Example:
Rake = $3.00
Number of players = 10
Rake share = $3.00/10 = $.30 or 30 cents
Your (25%) rake rebate = 25% of the 30 cents
= .25 x $.30
= $.075 or 7.5 cents
Ca-ching, Ca-ching, Ca-ching!!!
These small money amounts may not appear to be very large, but if you are playing a great deal of poker you would be surprised at the end of the month how much $ you will be credited with. It naturally varies from player to player, based on whether you tend to play shorter tables, multiple tables, how often and how high. I have customers that are receiving as much as $800.00/$1,500 a month back....needless to say these are full time players. On average, my customers receive between $50-$300/month back in rake rebates.
Who is best suited for a rake (commission) back Program?
Players that play ring/cash (regular) games, stakes of 2/4 and higher.
Do you still qualify for sign up bonuses and reload bonuses?
Yes. All of them.
