Professor
Oak's Lab

The most important thing in Pallet Town is Professor Oak's lab. Professor
Oak invented the Pokédex
to store information on all the 150 pokémon that were known by
1998.
In Pallet Town, all trainers age 10 are encouraged to get a
pokémon from Professor Oak and embark on an adventure to become a
Pokémon Master.
Between 1998 and 1999, Professor Oak would send out his aides
to help these young trainers throughout their journey. |
Oaks'
House
The Oak Household can be found just north of the lab. There,
Professor Oak's grandson, Gary
Oak (also known as Blue), once lived. In 1998, Blue embarked
on a pokémon adventure and became a formidable trainer.
His sister still lives here and in 1998 she helped Blue's Rival,
Red, by giving him a Town Map. |

Ketchums' House
|
|
West of the Oaks' house is Ash
Ketchum's (also known as Red's)
house. He left pallet town in 1998 as well to become a pokémon
trainer. His mother, who lives here, still worries about him and
often wishes he'd come home. |
