When I think of each element I get excited about something different which cannot be compared in any way to another. Kind of like the old saying of comparing apples to oranges.. it just doesn't do any good. When I think of the element Fire I think of flame. I have an incredible passion for fire <go figure>. The power that fire has to transform things is something that can make me sit in awe everytime. I went to a festival a little over a year ago and will never forget sitting at the bonfire with a good friend and suddenly realizing it was 3:00 am! Had no idea we had been sitting there listening to the drums and being hypnotized by the flames for so many hours. Fire to me is passion... extreme passion that is;) and transformation and energy that is hard to contain. Fire is brilliant. It is explosive, it is immediate. Fire is passionate, protecting, and strong. Fire is the element of the spiritual body, of change and of the spiritual plane. The elementals of Fire are the Salamanders, and they control to a great degree the movement of a candle flame, a bonfire, a bolt of lightning, and electricity. They can be found in any spark of fire. Fire magick can be used in creating a needed change, purification, activation, rebirth, burning away an illness etc. |
| Attune to Fire As I have said before, the best way to attune yourself with an element is to interact with it. *Spend time around lit candles and/or a bonfire! *Gaze into a candle flame or hot coals *Spend some time outside on a sunny day *cook *catch a fireworks display *spend some time by a fireplace As you do these things be sure to take note the personality of the flame.. and they differ <to me>. How the fire destroys and how it creates. The heat and the light that it produces and how and why it exists at all. What would our life be without it...oOoO ENJOY! |
