The smell and feel of wet soil in my hands or the grass under my bare feet in warmer weather months. With Earth I feel a connectedness with divinity unlike any other element. Not that I prefer Earth at all but each element conjures up a completely different feeling for me... Earth is stable. It is solid, it is growth. Earth is grounding, homey and nurturing. Earth is the element of the physical body, of prosperity, and the physical plane. The Elementals of Earth are the Gnomes, and they control to a great degree the stirrings and actions of the earth, mountains, plants, animals and soil. Gnomes can be found anywhere earth exists, in a single stone and a massive mountain range. Earth magick can be used in creating stability, drawing abundance and prosperity into your life and healing physical wounds. |
| Attune to the Earth There are many ways to attune yourself with an element best of all is interaction.. * get out and go camping * go for a hike or nature walk * walk barefoot * plant something * visit an aboretum or heck even your local nursery for that matter! * sit under a tree for a bit It is all but impossible to do any of these activities without becoming extremely aware of the nature that surrounds you. I have been mesmerized for over an hour once just watching a squirrel and being amazed at what it did and how it went about it. You can see the interaction between the animals even if you only run into a few ants! Get out there and have some fun! |
