Wasted Tears

How do you feel when each tear drips
Slips from beneath the lid
The lid that closes to hide you from the world
But your tear reveals it all
Drags every broken memory across your cheek
You try to hide what hurts you, by wiping it away
But the pain shines with a salty gloss
Dragging black eyeliner lightly down
You hide your face hoping no one sees
But your fears are answered
The self indulgent lives of others filter past
Without a second look, your another brick in the wall
Scream and bleed and let the salty water drip
For that’s all you’ve become
No once knows you anymore
Not even you
