Sonja
She hums a tune
While she dances inside her head
Her pen clumsily forms
The shapes of flowers
And words
On a notebook that was once clean
She smiles
Telling us
She won’t let us know
Of the secrets she holds within
She looks up to the camera
But doesn’t look away
She has learned to bear it
This daily routine
Has gone unnoticed
For in this girl
In her tune wrongly hummed
In her pen, flowers, and words
This is happiness
So subtle it is missed
By all who don’t
Appreciate it
