Overcome

The crimson trickle of blood
Slowly crept down my arm
With every drop the water changes
I want to scream, but i bite my lip

I close my eyes and lay back
Letting the cool water grace my skin
My shaking body stirs the water
The bloody water illuminates the room with red

In my mind i see him
The smile on his face and the blue of his eyes
Though i loved him, i hated him
My thoughts turn to fire burning him out of my mind
As my mind starts to fade into the night
I hear the knocking of the door
Pounding into the deepest depths of my mind
I whisper goodbye as i am overcome
