Orange School 2003
This Super Summer 2003, I was in Orange School. There are two Orange Schools and I was in O2. The underlying theme was
where O2 (Orange Two) is mixed into the design. The 'O' stands for Obsession, the '2' stands for To, the 'K' stands for Know, and the '?' stands for God because He is sometimes unknown. So it reads: Obsession to Know God, with a subtle message of Orange 2. Get it? Good.
There were approximately 120 sophomores in my Orange 2 School. The theme this year was "Canadian Monster Garage". We sort of took the Canadian flag and changed it from red to orange. So yes. We apologize to the Canadians for the alteration. We still love you!

Our Exec Staff was the best ever! Brandon Brister was our Dean and our Music Leader, Darren Rice was our Assistant Dean, and Larry McGregor was the Team Leader Coordinator. We had the best group of Family Leaders as well. My parents were Brandon Hirth and Erin Pyle.

I had 13 in my family group (including myself and not including Brandon and Erin): Karlee Butts, Amy Brewer, Andrew Duffy, Kenny Eldridge, John Davis, Julie Christensen, Caitee Boxeur, James Corley (that's me), Bradley Council, Tyler Coppedge, Megan Carey, Hanna Cherry, and Mallory Bumgarner. It was the best family group ever. You can say that it was also the first, but I am assured that it was the best. The only way another could be better was if we had everyone else in our group together again and then some...which the probability does not support. So yes.

Orange 2 was by far the most spirited group at Super Summer. We put together two songs for the Rainbow Ralley (where we did our cheers). Here they are.

Monster Garage Song
Mon-ster Gar-age
Canadian Monster Garage (x2)

From the great white north comin' down to the south
We're obsessed to know God that's the word on our mouth
We've spent most our lives doin' the same ol things
'Cause we didn't know God and the freedom He brings
But now we're here in the Monster Garage
Seeking depth from the Lord we don't want a mirage
We're
O2K and we're on the scene
We came ordinary and we leave EXTREME!

Orange 2 Anthem (To "O Canada")
Monster Garage, Great Super Summer school
All other grades wish they could be so cool
Be silver, red, or purple school, Be yellow, blue, or green
It's just the truth not pridefulness, we're not trying to be mean
We love the Lord, yes that's the truth you see
Almighty God we stand in awe of Thee
And by the way we love Cris Lowery

And so yes. Orange 2 was the greatest ever. I chose the best year to be my first. The only disadvantage is that no other year will be quite as awesome as this one, but I can bear it. Maybe God will bless me with drastically better years each year...I don't know.
All I DO know is that I had an incredible time at Super Summer and I hope that you picked up on that from all that I have spoken about Super Summer. And that is all from me.

We don't claim to have invented Monster Garage...just for your information and for the protection of our group. Thanks.
Oh. We don't claim to have invented Canada either.
