He rode all day
To the castle of Gell
Entered the castle
T'was there a duel was declared

The battle raged on
Destruction and chaos everywhere
Everlasting night
For 3 years undone

One fatal swing
It's victim off guard
The end of the reign of night
Gone with each drop of blood

The curse now lifted
The tension all gone
Three years of night
Now shone in the sun

The knight now his prize
The maiden of dreams
To the knight
The fairest of thee

There once was a knight
As brave as brave could be
Who rode through the night
To find the fairest of thee

He rode to a cottage
In a far off land
To rest the night
And to calm his head

The maidens served him wine
And bread to eat
And drunkened the knight
For his midnight sleep

In the morning he awoke
Woozie and full of dread
Of the conquering night
The one of dead

To rescue the maiden
The fairest of thee
To conquer the evil night
That held the key

Limerick

There  was a big dog with a flea.
Who begged the flea with a plea.
He said, "Come over here,
And lend me on ear."
Who knows what became of that flea!
