| At one point in my life I lived in an apartment that had once been a house. The first night I spent there I was lying in bed when something woke me up. I still don't know what. Anyway, for a moment I just lay there half asleep, half awake when something at the foot of the bed caught my eye. There, standing in the far corner of the room was some sort of apparition. It seemed to be just staring at me. Well the apparition just stood there for what (to me) seemed like hours. Finally it moved to the opposite corner of the room and just disapeared. The very next day, a good friend came over (whom had just recently moved from that very apartment before my mother-n-law had rented it) I had just finished telling my husband about what I had seen when she comes in and says "well did you see any of the ghosts here last night?" I knew then I was definatly not trippin..... Later on my husband and I moved into the apartment right next door to his mothers. It was a smaller apartment and I felt quite comfortable there. Anyway, the first three days we lived there we awoke to the floor being covered with magots. After I finally stated that I wanted to move the magots stopped apearing and never apeared again. This was freaky but not as freaky as the show we could hear every night coming from the upstairs apartment. The whole upper level of the used to be house had been converted into one big apartment. And you could set your watch by the happenings that took place up there. Every night at 2 am it would start by what sounded like a bowling ball rolling across the hard wood floor. Next you could hear what sounded like furniture scooting around the floor. Finally you would hear children giggling and it sounded as though they were skipping or jump roping or maybe both. The most unexplainable object in the whole house though was the section of brick in the upstairs bedroom. It had at one time been a part of the attic then converted with the upper level to make a larger bedroom. There are what appears to be blood stains on the brick that cannot be removed by no means. I don't know how true it is, but I was told that a family had lived there when it was a house and the father had went mad and killed all of them, even himself. This does seem to have some truth to it. Since in the downstairs of the house you witness a man and a woman floundering around here and there. And in the upstairs you can hear children (I never stayed up there long enough to try to see them..... I'm too scary) But I know that there are Ghosts and no one can tell me any different...... |

| Brown Lady Of Raynham Hall | |||||||||||||||||||
| The Brown Lady is famous for being one of the most reliably photographed ghost. She was said to wear a brown dress or cape. She has been seen several times in the past. The first documented sighting was by a house guest in 1835, Colonel Loftus. He stated he seen her wearing a silk like brown dress and where her should've been were nothing but large black empty sockets. This picture was taken in 1936 by the famouse photographers Captain Provand and Indre Shira during a shoot for a magazine "Country Living". Shira witnessed the ghost standing in the stairway and he immediatley directed Provand to snap a picture of it. No sightings have been noted since. |

| ALCATRAZ | |||||||||||||||||||
| Very well known for its claim in it's early years of the inability to escape from its massive stone walls. This prison housed some of the most viicious and notorious criminals. Located on a small island in San Fransisco California, Alcatraz is still today one of the most infamous tourist attractions on the western seaboard. In 1963, when Alcatraz was closed permanently, the sightings almost immediatly began surfacing. It is believed that these ghostly beings had occupied the old prison for some time but the ravings of criminals were never much paid attention to. It is said that at night when lying in one of the cells you can hear screams of pain and agony and banging on the other cell walls when absolutley no one is around. Even the mere sight of Alcatraz would let any passer byer know that it is not uninhabited. One other well known story that was reported by a female office worker after the closing, was the story of the Civil War men standing in the court yard firing canons . Alcatraz does have quite a history to it. And it is one of the many haunted places where you can still take a tour and feel the ghostly presences all around. |
