| Description |
| Stanza 12 is about the speaker still having a smile on his face because the situation is still very queer after all that has been happening. Not only does a large, conceited and black bird with mien of a superior being clench onto the bust above the speaker's chamber door, but anwers, "Nevermore," to all the speaker's questions or remarks. Also, the speaker continues to be confused by what this bird means with this replies. |
