You finally succombed,
To the Angel of Death.
You left behind so many,
And I still try to reason why.
That in the realm of this world,
Why I have to say good-bye.
I needed you so badly,
I depended on you so much.
I needed to still hear your voice,
I need to feel your touch.
I have so many questions,
I'll never find the answers to now.
You were the one that I came to,
The one who could explain how.
How could you be gone?
You walked this earth for years.
I heard your voice and saw your face,
You took away all my fears.
Now you've left me here,
It doesn't matter you had to go.
I'm not prepared to say good-bye,
I cannot deal with all this woe.
Everyone tells me it was your time,
And as true as that may sound.
All I know is that you're gone,
And nowhere to be found.
