How much longer can this continue? Your image constantly haunting me. My mind and soul cannot escape The visions that linger within my mind's eye There is no escape to be found Your grasp on my heart threatens to consume me You fill my every waking thought There is nowhere I can flee to You are with me even now I go out and there you are Everywhere I turn it's you, always you At the grocery store I tend to linger Where the shelves hold your personal smell I stand there with your favorite soap I cannot keep from inhaling your essence Are you the things that dreams are made of? Or is that my only connection to you in my dreams? Can this be as real as it seems? You have overtaken all my senses I feel your soft, caressing touch I inhale the very scent of you My eyes are closed but you're all I see I hear all the endearments you've whispered And I have tasted all you have to offer As I drive along the highway The silence deafening my ears You fill the silence with your caressing words My mind drifts off in your direction As if it has no will of its own You command my every waking moment I have fallen prisoner under your spell
