Why put diamonds in the eyes of porcelain dolls? Such waste! Give the carats to me and I will sparkle for you I will paste them to my nipples and dance I will kneel between your legs and suck until diamonds burst before your eyes
The sun shares our secrets with the moon, the moon whispers them to the barn owls and so it begins a swirling of rumors over earth and sky stretched like a pregnant belly each with its own pulse, its own heartbeat The barn owls share our memories with the field mice and the few escaping mice shriek our names before scattering like ashes This is our story of secrets birthed in shadow, shared by chained creatures Why should you listen? To hear the things you have obviously forgotten
I have traveled far I have eaten tacos de camarrones in the rain forest of Puerto Rico I have secretly touched the walls in Rio Camuy caverns I have tangled with tall men in the streets of Panama I have touched an explorer's feet in the middle of Avenida Balboa I have done all this and still I remain with you Doesn't this tell you something?
