| ANGELA M. MENDEZ 33, is a widely published poet, having over 70 poems appear in journals across the U.S. and in Canada: Conscience, Connecticut River Review, Afterthoughts, Underwood Review, Contraband, Poetry East, Mother Earth to name a few. Ms. Mendez is listed in the Directory of American Poets and Fiction Writers (available through Poets and Writers Organization www.pw.org) and also has biographical listings in Marquis' Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who in Finance and Business. Ms. Mendez developed a full writing poetry curriculum and teaches it for various Connecticut Adult Education Programs. Other achievements: Judged national poetry contests, won several poetry awards, served as Vice President of the Connecticut Poetry Society, and, briefly, as President of the Amistad Arts Collective. |
