The Perfect Place
by Maria Schwartz

From the clouds of eve,
To the winds of the north,
My perfect place exists
Where beauty comes forth

Brilliant rays of yellow light
Shine through the blue sky.
Golden fields of grassy green,
With flowers that grow high.

In the midst of the wonder
And a child's delight,
Lies a pond of showery blue
And a tree of serene might.

Now, within each image
Of everlasting peace,
There is a dream inside
And the touch of Golden Fleece.

And when I set foot
Atop a curved, meadow hill,
My mind knows not how
My heart's content is filled.

My perfect place lies in the comforts
Of time, space and endless bliss.
There often aren't words to say,
For it is placed in heart's kiss.

To show my yielding fantasy,
You need only to close thy eyes.
Dream of things good and pure,
And to you, beauty never denies.
