Kul to represent India at KRA Korea Open International.

Kul Thapa is back on International scene after long wait of 7years keeping behind memories of 2 years when he was out of Judo because of an accident which caused him Slip Disk. Last international competition he played was way back in 1994 - Rajiv Gandhi International Judo Tournament in New Delhi and Hope 2000 Olympic Judo Tournament in Belarus where he had won Bronze medals.

Kul will represent our country at KRA Korea Open International Judo Tournament in Jeju at South Korea. This competition is certified as 'A' tournament by International Judo Federation and is very prestigious tournament where top Judo nations like Japan, China, France, Belgium, Russia beside host South Korea will be playing.

In the selection trial he defeated the reigning National Champion Akram Shah.

Kul, Shiv Chhatrapati award winner of 1998, has till date accumulated 9Gold, 2Silver and 6Bronze at various National Judo Competitions since 1986.
