Accomplishments from mid-October through mid-November on team project: ·
A case
study has been chosen and work has begun on analyzing the results.
Items such as Gantt charts, a stakeholder analysis, and project summary
are all items which will go into this review.
This case summary is on schedule from where it was originally assumed to
be at in mid October. ·
The
summary of project management articles slipped a few days behind the original
schedule (according the Gantt) due to unforeseen academic influences that
affected a few of the group members. The
completion of the summaries for these articles, and there placement on the web
page should be completed by the end of this week. ·
The
webpage is up and running at http://www.geocities.com/pm5541f00/.
On this webpage are most of the article links and their appropriate
summaries, a list of the members, and room for the addition of the case study
and the Microsoft Project file data. The
construction of the web page is right on schedule with the exception of the
missing project summary articles discussed previously. ·
The
Microsoft Project file has been chosen and analysis will continue to be done on
the data. This data was more
difficult to locate then was originally anticipated.
Therefore the initial Gantt chart was revised to reflect the changes
necessary. II.
Plans for the Remainder of November and into early December: ·
One of
the most important items to be finished in the remainder of this month is the
web page. Data
from the Microsoft
Project file and the project case study need to be input onto the page as well
as any remaining cosmetic additions ·
The
Microsoft Project file must also be reviewed and documented before it can be
added to the web page. ·
The team
Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator Test results must also be summarized.
The data for these results has already been taken. ·
Analysis
of the tools used in this project need to be complete yet also, but this won’t
be started until more of the project is in its final stages. III.
Developing Issues: ·
The main
issue that developed in the team’s project so far has been unavoidable
scheduling conflicts that put the team slightly off track near the end of
October. Those time conflicts have
been resolved through better scheduling, and they should no longer be a factor
in the outcome of the project. IV.
Project Changes ·
On
October 22nd, due to difficulty in obtaining an acceptable Microsoft Project
file, Brad Rowell asked for an extension in the Gantt chart from October 25 to
November 6 in obtaining the necessary file.
The team approved the change and updated the scheduled date for finding a
suitable file from 10/25 to 11/6. The
completion time for the summary of this file was not altered. |
