Project Management software programs have become increasingly popular in the field of Project Management over the last decade. While there are many packages available, such as Primavera and Microsoft Excel. However, the most popular package is Microsoft Project, which will be discussed further in this section of the website. Microsoft Project is a very useful project management software tool available to project managers. This software program incorporates such tasks as scheduling with a Gantt or Pert Chart, tracking resources or costs, and more. The following is an evaluation of an actual MS Project file used in industry. The MS Project file evaluated here was from Boston Scientific, SciMed, a medical device company based in Maple Grove, MN.
