Who am I?
My name is Robert Ploof, I am just a normal guy who is trying to get by in the rat race of life. I am 34 years old and I've been married for 10 years. I have 2 lovely daughters, Lindsey who just turned 8 in October and Hannah who just turned 4. I am a part time student at Baker College working on a degree in Industrial Engineering. I have been going to school for 7 years part time and paying for it all myself. I first graduated from Baker College back in 1988 with an associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and I still live in Flint, don't hold that against me! My friends have always called me the Ploofer, that is the explanation for the title of this webpage.
Interests
My interests include just about anything to do with sports. I really love football that is my favorite. I have season tickets to the Michigan Wolverines football games and I enjoy taking my kids to the game to experience the atmosphere. I also like Nascar racing and major league baseball. I even run a fantasy Nascar league that has grown to almost 70 people. My other interests include camping and vacationing with my family, My family is the most important interest that I have. My other interests include bowling, I used to be a pretty decent bowler until I gave it up to go back to school. I also like coaching, I coached my daughters bowling last season and this past summer I was coach for the girls 7,8,9 year old softball league, now that was really fun!
What do I do for a living?
You can click on the link above for my personal resume, but a real quick answer to this is: I am a test engineer for DaimlerChrysler. I work in the engine durability test lab at the Chrysler Tech Center in Auburn Hills Michigan, I have been working for DaimlerChrysler for 4 years now. Accomplishments
Presently the secretary/treasurer of the Guys & Dolls Bowling League- Mixed Doubles Bowling League
Past President of the Flint City League and the Flint All Star bowling leagues.
Past President of the Flint 700 Bowling Club, Chapter 28.
Started the Flint 700 Club Trio Tournament that is ran every year the first Sunday in March.
Bowled (2) 300 games, High series of 792, high average of 214
My wife Pam has the record for the highest series by a female bowler in the city of Flint with 827
Coached girls 7,8,9 year old softball to 1st place in Division 3 of softball play-offs.
Won the Bowler of the Year award for 700 Club in 2000.
Was a member of the youngest bowling team to ever win the Flint City tournament in 1993.-Average age of 5 bowlers was 23 years old.
