Warped Tour 2000

After
walking through the gates after being patted down, the scene of the Warped
Tour in Pontiac was incredible. There were five stages set up, each with
its own sound system, tons of booths and tents where each band pushed it's
merchandise, and a lot of people. There were true NY street punks, Hardcore
Oi's, and the occasional poser. With an awesome band lineup, there was
always something to see. And if you got bored of the bands, you could watch
the skateboarders on the half pipe. MxPx, NOFX, The Hippos, Green Day and
about 30 other bands kept the place rocking from noon until 6. I also discovered
new bands, such as User Friendly, who were throwing out free CD's and shirts
by the truckload. I will definitely be back next year. |
