Halfway Between Here And There
Released 10-29-99 Drive Thru Records After hearing this CD for the first time, it was evident to me that Drive Thru Records is the best label out there. I heard RxB's song "Teen Idol" and loved it, thus buying the CD. It is my favorite mix of ska, punk, and reggae that I have come across. It's flavor is heard in every song and the collaboration of styles was beautifully done. The lead singer brings out the style of the music with his agressive, forward tone and slight accent while the drummer suprises you with random snare hits that break the mold of 2 and 4. When this music gets going, it doesn't stop. Each member of the band contributes to the driving rythms and catchy melodies. RATING: 9.8 (out of 10) |
