Have you ever wondered how you could use technology to approximate roots of polynomial equations and how to solve polynomial equations?  Now's your chance to learn!  The first part of this section deals with how to use your graphing calculator to find the real roots of a polynomial equation.  In this section, you also learn how to solve polynomial equations by factoring.  Now, for the factoring of polynomial equations, there are two approaches.  You can factor by grouping terms or you can factor by using the quadratic form.  Either way works fine, but you must be careful as you can still get an extraneous solution.
