| ANNUAL PIG ROAST

| Don�t forget the Annual Pig Roast on Saturday, May 16th (Armed Forces Day). This is always a wonderful meal at a reasonable price (donation). Zen will be doing his usual fine job and always throws some very good Polish sausage from in the city and some chicken into the cooker. $10.00 donation requested. |
| The auxiliary Cinco De Mayo party and buffet will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, starting 6:00 PM. Tickets need to bought in advance for the buffet so they have a head count. The cost is $12.00 for the all you can eat buffet. Call Cheryl at 815-385-9789 for more information and reservations. |

| Please respect our neighbors and keep the noise and loud talking to a minimum. Please smoke out in front and not on the side of the building. There will be fence up soon to help keep the noise down. Also PLEASE use the containers provided for your cigarette butts. The lawn, street and even the planters?? (come on people!) are really littered with butts.
The kitchen is open again on a limited basis for now. Burgers, sandwiches, and great soups are available Monday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 5 PM except when there is club or post function going on that day (like the Pig Roast or Cinco de Mayo party). Please remember the check cashing policy is one (1) check per day per member with a fifty dollar ($50.00) limit. NOT one check per shift. | COUNTRY DONUTS IN CRYSTAL LAKE HELPING VETS |
| I wanted to make you aware of something you may not have heard about. The owners of Country Donuts in Crystal Lake donate donuts to North Chicago VA Hospital. The drivers for the Veterans Assistance Commission stop by and pickup three or four dozen donuts and bring them to the hospital almost every day. The drivers pass them on to the volunteers at the hospital where they are served next to the coffee pot at the main entrance to the hospital. Everyone looks forward to this at the hospital and they really appreciate what Country Donuts is doing. Please stop in and support this business if you need great donuts or other pastries. | The 2009 golf outing will be Saturday, June 27th. 10:00 AM shotgun start. It will be held again at Nippersink Golf Course in Genoa City, WI. The foursome and the volunteer signup sheets are up on the bulletin board now. Get your friends together for this great event. Steak dinner and prizes to follow back at the club and are included in the price. The cost is the same as past years at $80.00 per golfer. This is a pretty good deal.
