I'm the creator of Cactus4Christ Ministries and many other web sites I hope you will enjoy. This is just another sample page and hope you find it interesting. To begin telling you all about myself, I come from a family of seven, born and raised in my hometown of Carlsbad, NM. In the year 1975, we moved to Mesa, AZ, where I resided until graduation, lived in Tucson, AZ a short while, joined the service, USAF, where I spent tours in San Antonio, TX, Denver, CO, and Clovis, NM. In 1986, I was honorably discharged from my Air Force Career at Cannon, AFB, NM. From my electronic-avionics career, I went into radio tv broadcasting, after that stint, pursued landscaping & horticulture in the Clovis, NM Farwell, TX area. Finally in 2002, after my Dad passed away, I relocated back to Carlsbad, NM where I continued my landscaping-horticulture career at Lakeview Christian Retirement Home. When I am not working out in folks yards, gardens, doing tree trimming and lawn care, I am working on web sites, and spend hours on graphic computer design. Besides my multi-career interests, I am also a "ham", amatuer radio operator, KB5ZJO, and a "storm spotter for the Nat'l WX Service during the severe weather season..

Although I'm always busy especially in the summer with vacations, camping, sporting, kids actvities, I am also a volunteer for Boy Scouts & also volunteer as a school board council member with the kids local school they attend at JMA (Jefferson Montessori Academy) . Lots of neat things at transpiring there, even a permanant school facility, eventually, near NMSU. 
Not only my passion for volunteer work with scouts, the school council, hospice, but a heartfelt desire as well to reach those who are hurting, many who are lost, for Christ. If you ever need some excellent sources to witness to a special friend or relative there are always some great places to go on the Internet. Here's a neat site that tells you about Jesus' love & how to become a Christian when God decides to call you, and you accept Him into your heart.
I recently relocated from Farwell, Texas a small ranching & farming community located in the southern Texas Pandhandle (the South Plains), most of my adult life. The weather in the Texas Panhandle brought us much more snow , colder & windier conditions than what we see in Carlsbad's much milder climate. While in Farwell, TX, I was always fascinated by the severity of the thunderstorms, and even tornadoes & large hail! I began to chase these storms & even photograph them. I eventually became a storm spotter with Skywarn. We have seen tornadoes, large hail as big as grapefruit & lots of lightning & wind, too! I am very fearful of lightning, especially since I almost had been struck 3 different times while digging up cactus out on some of the country roads around here!  I am the Father of two sons, Aaron Kelsey, born Dec 14, 1989, and Corby Nathan, born Oct 11, 1993. Both were born in Clovis, NM at Plains Regional Medical Center.
Besides the many activities I stay quite busy & involved with I manage to find the time to stay physically active with my children on our trampoline, playing with our two dogs, Sandy & Chica, taking them for a walk, playing basketball with Aaron, ping-pong, going on bike rides, hiking, and running & walking on our local nature trail! I have also been active in church chior & musicals and attended a few of the kid's youth events. I do remember growing up during my elementary & jr high school days & carrying a tune! I was told my many that I had a great voice, guess that's why I later went into radio broadcasting. I really loved working at KIJN Jesus Radio in Farwell, TX. It was my third consecutive radio station I worked for since my radio stint had begun. My two sons, both have carried this music talent as well, Corby in his voice & Aaron, playing, both the drums, and guitar.  As far as my favorite things to have the pleasure of doing, one is eating great food, whether cooking it, homemade, restaurant, cook-out or otherwise! My all time favorite is filet mignon! Second after that is Tex-Mex. I do love cook-outs & BBQ, and nothing like home-made ice cream!! My favorite desserts is Strawberry-Rhubarb pie and Italian cream cake.
As far as recreation & a time of relaxation, unwinding a day of tension; I do like to go on bike rides with my two sons, Aaron & Corby and even strolls around the block or park.
My younger son Corby is currently a Webelo in Cub Scouts and Aaron working on his Eagle scout, in Boy Scouts. They have both done many neat things thru the scouting program, swimming, hiking, repelling, pinewood derby racing, etc. and getting to camp out together as a family in our huge tent in the mountains. Besides scouts my younger son is now involved in a local soccer league, and my other son, has previously been involved in a local basketbalI camp & league. My two sons when not too involved in sports love to play ping-pong with me at home in our recreation room! Otherwise I am having to pull them away from video & computer ganmes! Vacations are one thing I do look forward to, and a great way to relieve stress & give a change of pace! One thing I can say, we have seen much of the country (USA). In the last 5 years we have visited 20 states during vacations; Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Louisiana. My sons favorite of all the states visited so far has been West Virginia where their Aunt Gari Lynn lives. When I am not intrigued into building web sites, I do love the outdoors, working out in the yard & transplanting & propagating my huge collection of succulents & cactus, and absolutely love sharing them with others who have simular interests! Besides my two sons being musically inclined, Aaron is quite the artist, loves to draw, especially graphic art & cartoons. He is very very talented & has quite a God-given gift! Maybe he will be an architect & Corby a video game designer or software writer! You can view Aaron, or Corby's web site to see more about their interests & hobbies.
