Population The population of New Baltimore was 3417 according to the 2000 census. The population of the town declined from 1850 untill about 1930. it has grown slowly but steadily since then. The greatest growth spurt appears to have been between 1970 and 1980.
There are about 1400 housing units in New Baltimore. About 75% are single family homes and about 20% are mobile homes. The remaining are multi family residences. The chart at right shows when housing in New Baltimore was constructed. Two thirds of all the housing in New Baltimore has been built since 1939, and 25% has been built since 1989.
Income

income for the town is over $48,000 per household, the highest of any

The incidence of poverty in New Baltimore is relatively low. Only 5.3% of families live below the poverty level, yet this includes 76 children.
