1st Citizens Planning Advisory Group Meeting  - 15 January, 2004

MEETING SUMMARY

17 hearty folks met at Town Hall for the kick-off session of the New Baltimore CAPG.  Heat was up in the building [for the first half of the meeting] and cookies abounded.

David Louis welcomed all, congratulated and thanked all for the willingness [and courage] to participate and set the stage for the nights activities.

CAPG members introduced themselves, describing where they live and a little bit about themselves.

Arlene McKeon described the planning process as conducted to-date -- how we arrived at this point and where we want to go.

Alta briefly summarized the Plan To Plan Recommendations package which was then distributed for everyone’s review in preparation for the 21Jan meeting.

Bob Knighton introduced the basic concepts behind the planning process and identified the questions to be addressed in our major mission:  VISIONING.

The group watched the video Balancing Nature and Commerce in Gateway Communities.  A brief discussion ensued .   .   .  brief because the video was over an hour and it was getting late.  Further discussion was tabled for our 21JAN session.

Expectations for the 21Jan session were outlined.  CAPG members were congratulated on their willingness to engage and participate.

All departed into the cold dark of January by 10 or so.
