    PX Live at The Crossroads

Our first show and performance at The Crossroads in Woodland, CA - which is just a few miles northeast of downtown Sacramento (Gig #29). The Crossroads is a former gas station that's been turned into a bar/poolhall right on the edge of town. It has real RoadHouse feel to it, with sawdust on the floor and everything but the chicken-wire in front of the stage and Patrict Swayze in the corner coolin' out.

Ok...ok...technically there isn't a stage...but we made it work. There isn't a stage at the Fox & Goose, or Distillery either, and we've played there before. If there are people there - we will play it. Crossroads is a really cool atmospheric place and it really isn't any further to drive to than Bigshots in Roseville is (depending on where your coming from).

I have to say that this was probably one of the most Fun shows we've played because for once, the place was nearly Packed. Sure, it's not a huge place but there was a decent crowd and I have to give credit to Yasa from West Coast Musicians Online, who booked us into the gig for that.

(This definately made up for booking us into "Johnny Loves" way back when - not that that fiasco was her fault in the least. Speaking of which I've heard rumors that Johnny Loves has been sold to an old friend of ours....yeaaahh.)

We we're up first, and played a good set including mostly songs from our CD. The owner really liked us - so much so that he bought a copy of the CD and had us all sign it. I think we'll be back...oh yes...we'll be back. :)

Also appearing we're Kattywompas and Oil Kan - who put on blistering shows. I'm starting to really, really like Kattywompus. They're an incredibly tight band And I mean "Tight" as in everybody plays together with precision - although the other definition of "tight" fits as well. :)

More good news...just before the show we found out that we've already been invited back to play Bigshots on the very next day (Saturday the 22nd). This was a show that was originally going to feature RATT, but they had cancelled their tour with Steven Pearcy's departure. RATT's loss then, became our gain. Apparently the owner of Bigshots decided that he really liked us too, now that he finally had a chance to hear us live.

Bigshots twice in one week and the second time on a Saturday night?

    Aint that sumpthin'?

(Allright - I guess you have to live in Sacramento to really get it...but it's still pretty cool IMO).
