Born on September the 9th 1953, I am a true Virgo - Aquarius male, and have not had a boring moment in my life. There are always matters to be sorted out (in proper Virgo ways) or new fascinating ideas and concepts forming and calling out for manifestation...
The oldest of four, two sisters and one brother, I was brought up by loving and caring parents. My Mother a brilliant story teller and Scout leader, taught me how to communicate with Nature. To listen to the stillness, to speak with animals and trees and everything else that moved within God's Creation, and that hands could heal. My Father an Air Force officer taught me discipline, order and honesty in all matters. They both taught a strong awareness of social responsibility and to actively engage where matters needed to be handled, instead of merely talking about it. |

It was a good childhood, but I never fitted in with 'the system'. I got dumped from Sunday shool before the age of seven, due to my probing inquiries... The rest of my 'traditional schooling' I found very frustrating because we never learned anything of real value (to me that is). Due to the situation I spent more time in the local library exploring matters of greater interest. |

What really triggered me was to find out how this planet worked, from the inner mantle to the outer atmosphere and how we in turn worked in relation to the solar system.
To explore Nature, climbing Her mountains and descending deep within Her secret caves.
It was always an adventure and when I grew up I wanted to explore the rest of this awesome planet by sea, land and air. |

| My parents gave me the name Rune, an old Nordic name which means Secret. To me a paradox, since I know that secrets are real only through a limited vision. When we open our hearts and minds, we soon see that the concept of secrecy is only an illusion and that everything is visible on one wavelength or another, with no regards to time or space. |

At the age of 17 years, I entered a Seamans training program aboard the Norwegian fullrigger 'S/S S�rlandet' and started out to sea as a merchant marine as soon as I turned 18. There was a big world out there, waiting to be explored.

| China, fighting between tribes in India or the flaring up of new crisis in the Suez canal zone. When I had to do my tour of duty in the Norwegian Navy I already felt an Old Soul and had little interest in my designated work of handling mines and explosives. My mates obviously found great satisfaction in playing with weapons of destruction, to me it was saddening and depressing. Of cource, the difference was that they had seen the 'romantic' movies and brainwash, I had been in the middle of the real thing, tasted the power struggle, oppression, destruction and death from the inside. In the end 'luck' smiled again and I was transferred to be the chauffeur of the Commander and I started to feel more at ease. |
