04-26-04: Rainbow might be moving to a new home.  He's the subject of many office conversations and has been a fixture in my cubicle for over a year.  However, since I'm not his primary caregiver (I only feed him four times a week and have nothing to do with water changes) he may soon be nothing more than a memory.  I'm not sure if I'll miss him... although I have spent many lunch-breaks admiring his red and blue antics... everyone says he's nothing more than a floater, but right now he's zipping around quite animatedly... I think that's because Jeff and Charles are nowhere in sight.

04-23-04:
I'm starving and hearing voices.  Someone in the hallway is talking with a very loud voice... I can hear it all the way down here from my chair in the basement.  New subject:  transmissions and oil changes.  Due to everyone talking about maintenance on their vehicles, I decided to take my car in for a check-up.  I now have a big puka in my check-book and will pay the balance after the 30th.  Did I mention the headache brewing behind my eyes?  I think I just need a good dose of KTUH and I'll be a much happier camper.  Hope your weekend is a lot more fun than mine!

04-19-04: Last night was an interesing blend of artists, and Italo Boot Hits started the flashback to the 80's.  It's a compilation that I've had for a while, but never shared on the radio...with artists Ken Laszlo and Grant Miller.  It stirred quite a number of you to call in and reminisce about all the clubs from way back when... I love college radio because there are no barriers from airing whatever I feel like on a Sunday evening.  The show went by even faster because Loriel was wandering the halls and I somewhat lost my concentration and just played lots of music... all the better for you, as I definately had to type in more titles into the playlist.  Have a great week!

04-15-04: I've done my bit and finally sat down and finished filing this year's taxes... Because of my relatively simple life, I qualified for filing over the phone.  I tried going to file online at  irs.gov, but the details started getting complicated, so I reverted to the simplistic, albeit boring, route of using a touch-tone phone.  The beauty of the system is that they keep repeating things over and over again, so by the end of the session, I'm pretty sure I don't owe a cent to the Feds this year... Now I look forward and onward to preparing the state taxes... Oh joy.

04-12-04: I don't know what happens to the weekend... they seem to whizz by and before I know it, I'm sitting in this cubicle facing the start of a whole new workweek.  There are so many things to do and I don't have enough time to cover everything I want to.  Tomorrow is the last day to catch Triplets of Belleville at the Doris Duke Theatre, and I think I'll just have to buy the DVD, and see what the buzz is all about.  I'd rather be sleeping more than anything, so it was rare for me get out and socialize.  I was lucky enough to be there at Saturday's Baaba Maal concert at Leeward Theatre.  Makana opened up the show.  He's a great local talent, but I think he needs to talk to his sound engineer... Baaba Maal and the Senegalese musicians came onstage and commanded the whole evening.   The music was wonderful and made the whole audience come alive.  I wasn't one of the free-spirits dancing in the aisles, but I left with a bouyant spirit.  I hope Jonathan and Maura enjoyed the show too.

4-08-04: One week left.   OH BOY.
