| 03-25-04: How is your Spring Break going? Work has been the main focus of the week and I need to find a couch for some much needed some shut-eye. Where have you been investing your energy? Those tax forms still niggle me at the back of my mind, and I need to follow-up on this tidbit of info that there's a facility to get your taxes done for free... hmm... I don't think I should have stayed up watching Grosse Point Blank. The brain feels quite lethargic today... 03-23-04: Less than a month to go and my taxes remain nothing more than an idea to act upon. I'm not sure why it's such a painful and excruciating process... The W2 sits in the corner of the room and I know that in two weeks time I won't know where to find it. I still haven't gone downtown to pick up the forms to fill out either. I wish it were May and maybe a refund would be in the mail...and then I could splurge at Amazon. 03-15-04: My heart sinks a little bit lower each time updates on the Martha Stewart case filter through my cubicle. It saddens me to know that one of few personalities that I respected and admired will have to walk away from the artistic/cultural phenomenon that she built up. I often splurged on the latest edition of Martha Stewart's Living and would read it from cover to cover... digging deeper into the wallet for the special wedding and baby issues that I would come upon as well. Martha Stewart is no longer the creative maven at the helm, and I for one relish my collection of back-issues from years back and wish that I'd set the VCR to record whenever I watched her Living program on Lifetime. Okay maybe she wasn't the nicest person, but I've never met her, so who am I to say? 03-12-04: I remember Joe and Dave from the French Ministry of Culture, they're from way back... and they're on the next Alumni Show! I missed Ikari's Sounds of Sushi, so I could only sigh over his playlist. Have a fun-filled weekend, stay dry, and look forward to Sunday because I've got special guests coming in!! Hopefully I'll have located some fun Irish music to play too. 03-09-04: Hi Charlie! You've got some great recommendations for foreign artists. I first heard Alizee on a Festivalbar compilation, and liked her enough to buy her album at Borders. I think I may have Kate Ryan and Loona on some other compilations, but I've never heard of Da Buzz . These are some great names to google if you have the time to explore. Well, I usually look forward to the lights flashing in the air-room, as callers request something or express their happy thoughts, so I was somewhat bewildered by the irate caller who didn't appreciate Mo' Horizon's rendition of Hit the Road Jack. As always, thanks for tuning into my world every Sunday! 03-02-04: I just read about the sewage problems in Kailua and boy am I thankful that my biggest worries have been overturned flowerpots and a leaky roof. I'm hoping the nice weather will stick around. This morning was a tad chilly, but as the morning progressed, the sun came out and I could have spent the whole day just gazing at the blue skies. Interestingly, Howard Dean has taken Vermont in Super Tuesday. |
