11-24-03: The holidays are here again and I'm not looking forward to the holiday pounds that will adhere like superglue... I want to win the trip for twelve that the Caribbean Cruise commercial has been dangling.  Their antidote for tryptophan is a lot more fun than going to sleep ...which is what I'll be doing for the rest of the month.  I've got nighmares of turkey sandwiches and soups already.  Wait!  I think maybe this year we'll eat noodles instead.  Every show is a blast and thankfully Christina was writing down each track that I played.  The stacks of CDs soon resembled a city skyline, and I couldn't find any mariachi music...give me a week to find Mario's request.  Kaimuki was highly represented with 5 calls, and Chris was tuning in from Kailua (on his radio!!) Tony went shopping for Black Bombay's Space Lullaby.  Lucky guy ...shopping is a foreign concept at the moment.  Happy Thanksgiving!

11-19-03: Roger dreamt that I was singing on stage as a pie promoter.  He described it quite vividly ...and even belted out the lyrics accompanied to a catchy melody.  I wish that I could remember my dreams, usually I awake groggy, wondering if its Saturday yet.  OH yummers!  I had dim sum today...my day would be bliss if only the wind would stop causing havoc to my umbrella.

11-10-03:  I've been typing madly trying to get yesterday's playlist posted.  I was supposed to be out of here ten minutes ago...but since tomorrow is a holiday, I probably wouldn't have time to get the songs on the web before Wednesday.  I got quite a few callers asking about Enzo Enzo.  She is an established French artist whose chanson entranced a lot of people who wanted to know more about her.  This track came from the French Cafe compilation put out by Putumayo ...I love every new album that they put together...it is so much fun to explore with a record label that really knows good music.  Sleep well, I know I will, since I won't be in traffic!!

11-03-03: The phones in the studio do not ring like a normal phone.  When a call comes in, the studios come alive with strobe lights pulsing in time with the music piping from the speakers overhead.  I had a great time giving away movie passes to the 23rd Hawai'i International Film Festival and to the advance screening of Pieces of April.  Congratulations Neil, Dari, and Alberto!!  They were winners on the marathon movie tickets give-away and it was tons of fun.
11-25-03: What am I thankful for?  Getting to play music on the Planet of Sound every week.  KTUH has been a wonderful resource of new world music and I'm thankful that I get to spend each beautiful Sunday sharing my eclectic sensibilites.  My zeal for music has found a positive outlet and it has been reinforced by all of you who tune and keep me company.  Thanks a bunch!!
I got this from Keith and wanted to share the holiday joy. As you gather with your loved ones, savor the good times and make them safe and memorable.  Eat well and be good...
