| 03-31-03: Tragedy and sadness abounds...Hong Kong is in quarantine and Geraldo got himself kicked out of Iraq. I was inspired by Tolkien's Middle Earth last night and it was reflective of my frame of mind. I missed my professor and the rest of my 400 class...spring break is pau...take care of yourself and drink lots of orange juice. Happy B-day SIMMY!! 03-21-03: Television and radio sets are all tuned into the war...at home ...at work...walking through the department store...it all feels surreal and I'm sad that this slice of history is unfolding during my lifetime. I wish that there were more time for diplomacy, but now that the troops are in motion, I can only send my prayers out to the world. I'm not sure what to do on Sunday...play music to soothe my sorely savaged soul as new reports keep trickling in... 03-17-03: Happy St. Patricks Day! I'm not going to go out for green beer or anything, but I did remember to wear my little bit-o-green. How was your Monday? Last night's show was a lot of fun. There are so many great artists being requested and one of the names that cropped up was an east coast band, 7 Nations. I have to send a big MAHALO out to the North Shore for this little tidbit...take a listen and decide for youself. Okay, I'm supposed to go and move some boxes...maybe they'll feed me too... 03-14-03: I saw something interesting while driving today...four silver VW Golfs in a row...it was a slice out of time and felt like a commercial, especially with three of them speeding together side by side. The choreography was serendipitous and made me wish for a camera. Alas, I never have the contraption when I want and I'm probably out of film anyway. The dredging on the Ala Wai is something else...plodding steadily along and I wonder if they find any cool junk...like bottles or rare coins. Anyhow, I will wander into work and see if I can be productive. Ciao for now. 03-11-03: It's been a long day, and I'm hanging out on the net, killing time before I jump back into the fray of downtown traffic. On the up side, this has allowed me to discover a great webpage originating in Sweden. I am green about the site design and wish that I had the ability to do what JBJ has done...but what really clinched my vote was his music section. He has listed artists with complete archives, and he has a lot of my favorite artists...the list is sweet and complete with pictures and lyrics. Visit: JBJ'S DIGITAL KINGDOM and have fun in Sweden... 03-10-03: Every show goes by in a flash...this last one was a lot of fun because the requests were coming in ...not too little and not too much...just enough to keep me happily dancing around, delving for musical treasures. A regular listener asked me if I was feeling okay. The funny thing was that I felt normal...was I sounding abnormal? I hope not. Anyways, I was apprehensively excited because someone I knew was actually listening. I apologize if the show sounded off, but I enjoyed it as I always do. Everything is hunky-dory and peachy keen on this end...thanks for caring. Its the little things that really count. 03-07-03: It's Friday!! I think that if I could, I would sleep forever. It was so hard to wake up from my nap, and I totally messed up dinner. I can't wait for the volleyball game. I did my homework... heh, heh...so I can watch with a clean conscience. My poor car is going in for badly needed servicing. Thus, I shall be independent of wheels for a few hours. Wonder if that means I've got to bus it around? Oh boy, the freedom of zipping around in a car sure does spoil you for public transport...although I hope that lawmakers do something about gridlock soon...this past week was another nightmare of brake lights and slow moving lanes...nightmares are haunting me with visions of H-1...need I say more? 03-03-03: I've been trying to make re-do this website and the only things I've done is to give myself a major headache...two tylenols won't help...just lots of sleep and ice cream. |
