The Band......
Plain
Krazy hail from
Dublin, Ireland, they were formed in 1995 when drummer Dezzy & singer Fr
Fran (yes he is a Priest, although no longer practising) decided to work
together to form a band.
This
four-piece rock band has gone from strength to strength over the years despite
having a few line-up changes along the way. From the outset the band performed
sets consisting of rock classics from various artists such as AC/DC, ZZ Top,
Motorhead, Deep Purple, Ozzy, Black Sabbath & many more. They have taken
their “rock n roll” show throughout Ireland gaining a huge following along
the way, especially with bikers, as bike rallies have become regular bookings
for the band, especially during the summer months.

As
time went on, the band added more & more Black Sabbath & Ozzy Osbourne
songs to their set list, helped by the fact that singer Fran not only sounds
like, but has an uncanny resemblance to the legendary Ozzy himself. Fran is a
remarkable front man, he has such amazing stage presence, which soon gets the
crowds going Krazy wherever they play, venues big or small, once seen, he’s
never forgotten
It
wasn’t until 1997 that Plain Krazy performed their first full Sabbath/Ozzy
tribute gig, shortly followed by the bands first visit to England, where they
performed the tribute show in front of 4000 bikers at “Stormin’ the
Castle” bike rally, in Co Durham. They played an absolute blindin' set, so
much so they were back the following year due to popular demand.
Their
tribute show is one not to be missed, anyone who has witnessed, the raw energy
of Ozzy Osbourne & or Black Sabbath live, will not be disappointed. Singer
Fr Fran actually lives Ozzy when performing live & whips the crowd into a
frenzy, with famous Ozzy chants such as "I love you f**kers" &
"let's go f**kin' crazy". He captures the crowd’s attention in
seconds & commands a huge amount of crowd participation during the show.
This
extremely tight outfit have the crowds well pleased, thundering through
everything from "War Pigs," "Fairies," "Sweat
leaf" & “Crazy Train.”
The
band gig constantly in Ireland be it pubs, bike rallies or parties
& are willing to play anywhere they're asked to. The bands popularity
in England is ever increasing, with another four visits under their belt in the
last three years. Venues are now asking for their return on a regular basis &
plans are afoot for their next visit to England in early 2003 with the possibility of
a week’s tour coming later in the year.
