22nd February 2003 - SLIM leaves the band

Dave (Slim) Boylan has left the band. It is with great regret that Slim felt he had to leave, but due to his responsibilities to his two young children he was unable to commit enough time to the band.

Slim was immediately replaced by Ian Tolan who was PLAIN  KRAZY's original bassist, so he's fitted in no problem. Dezzy as usual is insisting on twice weekly rehearsals to maintain the bands usual high standards.

25th November 2002 - Webmaster Veece gets his finger out!

Following several e-mails from PK fans wondering why this site had not been updated for 6 months, I've finally got my act together & updated the site. A big SORRY for the delay, I will try & keep the gig list up to date as & when I receive them from Dee, that's if her PC manages to work for more than a day at a time (touchy subject).

If you would like to be informed each time the site is updated send me an e-mail titled "Gimmee some Krazy News"  & if by magic it will happen.

29th May 2002 - Robbie's replacement announced!

Good news for the Krazies as they recruit guitarist DARREN MARR. Darren has been a fan of Plain Krazy himself for sometime now & some of you may have seen him jam with the band on several occasions. He has already proven his full commitment to the band in rehearsals, gigs & travel.

May 2002 -  Robbie leaves band....Shock!

Latest shock news is that Robbie has decided to leave the band. He unfortunately was no longer able to give full commitment to the band due to personal reasons.

12th Sept 2001

Well the band have just returned from their second trip to England this year & again a very successful trip it was.

Friday the 7th saw their first gig at "The Office " in South Shields, which went so well they have been asked to return twice a year. For a review of this gig check out the reviews page.

The following night saw the Krazies headline "Stormin' the Castle" bike rally in front of some 4500 people. This booking was by popular demand & was their third headline appearance at Stormin', the others being in '97 &'98.

Following this weekend in England there seems to be a definite growth in interest in the band as they are getting coverage on several websites (check the links page).

2 Sept 2001

New guitarist Robbie, is currently on a holiday which he was committed to prior to joining the band, therefore he is unavailable for gigs for a couple of weeks.

The good news is that Dave Morrissey whom Robbie replaced in July, has agreed to fill in for this period. Robbie was "gutted " not being able to play the Stormin' the Castle gig, which is without doubt the bands biggest gig of the year with a 6000 strong crowd expected.

The band are also thrilled with the double booking for the Hairy Ass MCC Rally in Co. Clare, where they are playing both nights. The Friday night will be their mixed Rock n Roll set & the Saturday is their awesome Sabbath/Ozzy Tribute show.

16 July 2001

Latest news, Dave Morrissey, lead guitarist has left the band, he decided to leave the band last month in June as he was unable to commit himself to several gigs including those booked in England this summer. Although disappointing for the band, a very suitable replacement was soon found in the boots of Robbie Beggs. Initially standing in to help the band out at short notice, he has decided to quit his now previous band & join the ranks of the Krazies full time.

At the time of writing Robbie has been gigging with the band for a month now & all looks well for the coming gigs this week in North East England. Both this weeks English gigs are re-booked following last years bookings at the same venues, which both proved extremely popular.

Quote from the Doorman at Trillians last year following the Krazies gig "I've never had such a boring night on the door, no-one to talk to, from the minute the band went on not a soul left the building, plenty people came in, but no-one left"
