Pokémon Red & Blue which hit the Japanese market a couple years ago, turned out to be one of the biggest games ever to hit Japan. Japanese kids and adults alike bought the game and the merchandise so quick that Japanese stores couldn't even keep them on the shelf. Japanese TV soon noticed Pokémon as being the next Japanese Anime hit. Pokémon the TV show turned out to be a huge hit with kids 7-13 and even older. For a while it seems that nothing could stop Pokémon until one episode there was very bright flashing lights which brodcasted through the TV, made over 100 kids have seizures. That incident only slowed Pokémon down, for a little while. Nintendo of America soon took notice and met with Gamefreak about translating and shipping Pokémon Red/Blue to America. Gamefreak eagerly said yes, and soon there after it was released in the US along with one of the toughest video game advertisements plans ever to hit America. Pokémon Red & Blue broke multiple Gameboy records as being one of the hottest selling games of '98. Nintendo is now working on a sequel, Silver & Gold.
